Piano Pedagogy
When I first began auditioning for college, I never thought that I would be able to go to school as a piano major. I am so thankful that I have been given this opportunity. I have loved every minute of learning to teach piano and I have already been able to apply my knowledge through the tutoring program at Westminster. In both Piano Pedagogy I and Evaluating Teaching Piano Literature, I have learned the beginnings of acquiring students, introducing new repertoire, learning how to give lesson assignments, and even the psychological aspect of teaching individual lessons. As a culmination of the concepts of teaching, each class had a final lecture recital.
Below are some of the assignments I have completed in both classes, including the lecture recital programs.
