These lesson plans should honor students' previous knowledge and the overall community of the classroom, instill critical thinking, and be appropriate for the learning level of the students.

Application
In Critical Pedagogy II, our class was assigned to make lesson plans both for the week of the current lessons and future lessons for longer-term goals. We made these lesson plans as collaborative groups, which would be a plausible situation in a public school setting with multiple musical groups that collaborate in a concert.
Yet again in my teaching experiences at the Yocum Institute I had to plan and collaborate with fellow teachers on music rehearsing, costuming, choreography rehearsal, and set design. These plans were planned in accordance with the students' learning needs and learning pace of music and choreography.
